Biography
Leanne Friesen is the author of “Grieving Room: Making Space for All the Hard Things After Death and Loss” and the upcoming book “After the Terrible: Seeking Solace When the Worst Things Happen.” She also writes and facilities the Instagram account @grieving.room, where she provides grief support to grievers around the globe. Leanne is an ordained minister with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec, where she currently serves as their Executive Minister. She holds an Undergraduate Degree in Child Studies, Masters of Divinity Degree, and Post Gratitude certificate in Death and Bereavement. She lives with her family in Hamilton, ON.

When Grief Shakes Us: Finding Footing After Loss
When we lose someone we love, or experience any type of loss, it can feel like the ground beneath us has shaken. How do we navigate these seasons? How do we support the people in our lives experience earth-shaking loss – especially children, teenagers and families?
In this workshop, Leanne Friesen will discuss the importance of giving grief room, and how we can do that for people at any age who is experiencing grief.
