Biography
Natalie Frisk has served in pastoral ministry and spiritual formation for nearly 20 years. After earning a Master’s in Theological Studies from McMaster Divinity College and spending thousands of hours ministering with children and youth, she now focuses on curriculum development and equipping church leaders. Natalie is the author of Raising Disciples: How to Make Faith Matter for Our Kids and a few children’s books. She regularly speaks to churches, ministry leaders, and parents about helping the next generation develop a meaningful and lasting faith. Natalie currently serves as the Director of Curriculum for RaiseUpFaith. She lives in Brantford, Ontario, with her husband, Sam, and their teenager, Erin. Natalie is also in a committed, long-term relationship with coffee.

Workshop
When Kids Ask Big Questions
Sometimes volunteers, (or even paid, full-time pastors!), squirm when children ask the big uncomfortable questions:
“Why does God let bad things happen?”
“How do I know God listens to my prayers?”
“Who created God?”
“Did my grandma go to heaven?”
In this session, we’ll talk about some simple solutions to complicated situations, workshop some ideas, and consider how we can prepare even our freshest volunteers for these big questions.
