Biography
Sydney serves as the Sports Ministry Coordinator at Scripture Union Canada. In her role, she works alongside church partners, young adults and youth to run sports camps and clubs to reach children and their families with the Gospel. Sydney is a graduate of Liberty University with a degree in Exercise Science and played for the women’s hockey team.

Game On: Reaching Children Through Sport and Play
In Canada, 68% of children are involved in sport, which makes it a very powerful platform to share the Gospel. In this session, we will look at the theological and practical implications of sports ministry. We will also consider how to reach a range of children involved in sport including the recreational and competitive young athletes and their families in our churches.

Investing In & Equipping Youth Volunteers
Youth volunteers bring so much energy and relatability to children’s ministry. They also need clear guidance and personal investment to thrive. This session is designed to equip both those working with or who are teen and young adult volunteers with simple strategies, real-life examples, and the confidence to make a lasting impact in the lives of children.
