Workshops

Reaching and Discipling Sport Families

In Canada, 68% of children are involved in sport, making athletics a significant part of family life for many parents. This session will explore the theological foundations and practical approaches of sports ministry, with a focus on intentionally building relationships with sport families. Together, we will consider how the church can reach, encourage, and support parents and young athletes involved in both recreational and competitive sports

Faith Formation in a Performance-Driven Culture

Youth bring incredible energy, enthusiasm, and relatability to ministry, yet they are also shaped by a culture that measures their value through performance—on the field, in the classroom, and online. Drawing on insights from sports ministry and theological leadership development frameworks, this session explores how these pressures influence faith, identity, and leadership. It will also offer practical ways to disciple youth volunteers and young leaders in a performance-driven culture.
