Biography
Shelley Neal had the pleasure of teaching for Toronto District School Board and Hollandbloorview, Bloorview School Authority.
Her career has spanned over 40 years working with children from JK to grade 12. She has enjoyed being a classroom teacher, music teacher, special education teacher, teacher librarian, MART and she was seconded to Bloorview School to work with children with different needs.
Her love is figuring out what children’s behaviour means and how to help children navigate these big feelings.
Behaviour management is more than one and done as it involves programming, physical set up, rhythm and routine of lessons and an understanding of child development, different needs and learning styles plus lots of prayer.
Shelley is currently the Director of Children and Family Ministry at Kingsway Baptist Church in Toronto.
She has completed her B.A, B. Ed., (primary/junior), B.Ed., (Inservice) and Masters of Education, (Curriculum Development)
She has completed her certification with CBOQ Kids Children and Family Ministry.

This session will look at behaviour in Sunday School. Behaviour is a form of communication. What is it saying and how do we work through this as a team of volunteer teachers in our planning and work with the children? How do we engage our children to work through this behaviour with us?
