Workshop

Developing Intercultural Competency in Children’s Ministry

Culture shows up in your ministry spaces every single week – in the stories kids tell, the ways families engage, and even in how children respond to rules, leadership, and one another. As leaders in Children’s Ministry, developing intercultural awareness isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s essential for creating a welcoming and Christ-centered space for every child who walks through your doors.

In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore how your own cultural background shapes the way you lead, teach, and build relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Together, we’ll unpack the invisible cultural dynamics at play in your ministry and introduce a practical framework for growing in intercultural competence. You’ll leave with greater self-awareness and tools to foster deeper belonging and understanding in your classrooms and ministry spaces.
