Workshops

Lament with Children in Worship and Daily Life

Children regularly experience loss, trauma, transition, disappointment, grief, even bullying, violence, racial injustice, poverty, and discrimination. Lament is a spiritual practice of worship that empowers children to address grief and loss with their faith communities, expressing their deepest emotions in authentic relational faith to God, in worship and in daily life. This workshop seeks to equip ministry leaders with biblical language and foundations for enabling children to engage in embodied, multisensory, multimodal practices of lament, through rhythms and rituals, in worship and daily life.
