Biography
Active in faith and passionate for The Word of God, Alderene takes her 35 years of international (and interdenominational) ministry to a creative level with “intentionally being intergenerational through children’s ministry.” Providing inclusiveness (for grand/parents and guardians) to engage and participate in children’s ministry goes beyond the church and into their homes. As the Intergenerational Faith Facilitator at St. John’s York Mills, Alderene develops relatable intergenerational programs that emulates the liturgy and church services.

Intentionally Intergenerational through Children’s Ministry
How to easily provide ways for the Children’s Ministry to be intergenerational. Having the larger faith community find their place for discipleship, mentorship and faith formation through the lessons and what comes out of you as ministers. Looking to Deut 5:1 when Moses commanded all of Israel, as the entire faith community to impress the commandments on the children.
