Biography
Melodie Bissell is a follower of Jesus, and deeply desires the Church to pursue holiness and walk with Jesus. She is the Chair & Sr. Safeguarding Consultant of Plan to Protect®, with a desire to raise the bar on safeguarding the Church. She accomplishes this through consulting and training and providing leaders with the tools (including policies and procedures), training and momentum needed to accomplish their vision and goals while safeguarding the mission of the organization and their people. Melodie is an author of numerous books and journal articles. Melodie received her doctorate at University of Toronto.

In this workshop you will glean insight into the standard of protection that insurance companies require and what reflects the standard of care of child and youth serving organizations in Canada. Plan to Protect® is a ministry in itself and the standard of care mirrors that safeguarding your people is a ministry in itself.

Volunteer Reviews
In this workshop, we will consider the value of providing volunteer reviews, and what makes up a good volunteer review. Volunteer Reviews provide an excellent opportunity to listen and learn from your volunteers, and also an opportunity to appreciation, coach and care for your volunteers. A template for volunteer reviews will be provided to workshop attendees.
