Biography

Rev. Tanya Yuen has served as Children and Family Ministries Associate at the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec since 2012. In this role, she leads various training and resourcing initiatives to help CBOQ churches discover and develop the giftedness of children and families within their communities.

Prior to this, Tanya served for 16 years as a pastor in children, youth, and family ministry across three downtown Toronto churches. Her pastoral experience, combined with leadership development and administrative skills, fuels her passion for journeying alongside others and equipping them to identify and use their God-given gifts in ministry.

She holds a Bachelor of Religious Education and a Master of Theological Studies from Tyndale University College & Seminary and is a graduate of the Arrow Leadership Program. Tanya is currently pursuing a Doctor of Practical Theology at McMaster Divinity College. She also serves as Global Mentor for the Baptist World Alliance Horizons Children’s Ministry Course, an international online training program.

Tanya is married to Alfred, and they have three daughters.
