Awards

Each year we honour 2 ministry leaders (1 paid staff and 1 volunteer) who have been nominated to receive an award. The 2 awards are listed below along with the nomination form. Please read the criteria carefully and complete the form to nominate the people you think should be this year’s Recipients of the Sladen Award for Volunteer Excellence and the Keating Award for Ministry Staff Excellence. The recipients must be registered to attend the conference to receive the award.

Sladen Award for Volunteer Excellence

The Sladen Award is designed to recognize and encourage an individual who demonstrates excellence in contributions to Children’s ministry in a volunteer position. Please submit your nomination using the form and guidelines below.

Guidelines

These guidelines are intended to help focus your thinking when completing the nomination form for the Sladen Award.

• Volunteers regularly. • Exemplifies a love of children and their learning/spiritual growth. • Knows the Christian faith. • Models the teachings of Christ. • Demonstrates an exceptional ability in working with others. • Has had a positive impact on the children and the church. • Cultivates in children a living biblical faith.

Keating Award for Ministry Staff Excellence

The Keating Award is designed to recognize and encourage an individual who demonstrates excellence in contributions to Children’s ministry in a staff position. Please submit your nomination using the attached form and guidelines below.
