Heading out of co-vid: strategies to help our students engage 

Over the last 12 years I have been in Public School classrooms mentoring/ evaluating teacher candidates. In this workshop I would like to discuss strategies and trends in these learning communities. I would like to talk about the following: Dealing with issues for students coming out of co-vid; Growth Mindset and 2 co-operative learning strategies (4 corners and the placemat) I have found that worked. 


Biography

Bryan Dixon, as a Faculty Advisor at Tyndale for the past 11 years, has thoroughly enjoyed the process of mentoring over 100 Teacher Candidates.  Prior to this, he was Head of Science at three TDSB middle and high schools for over 30 years.  In addition to Faculty Advising he teaches three undergraduate courses at Tyndale University.
